Listening to Hall & Oates on Radio 2 reminds me what a strange decade the 80s was. When hair and clothes looked like they were designed by a child with one of those life sized Barbie heads and a pair of toy pinking shears...

The final week of term and finally things are winding down. I had a dental appointment today and had a couple of fillings replaced which have been absent for a long time, I don't even know how long. Might be as much as two years. At this moment I feel like I have a couple of ping pong balls under my top lips in my cheeks. Weird.

Had a meeting with Louella, the producer on "The Sacrament" about how we are going to do this shoot in the Summer. Basically we've been dithering about whether we should seek some finance or just do it off our own bat with what we can scrounge. We came down on the side of seeking finance because it's the only way we can get it done the way we want. But the clock is ticking.

Ted is waiting to go to Tai Kwon Do so I'm going to have to give him a lift in a minute. He's been going for three weeks now and he's really enjoying it. Everyone agrees that he's long overdue for physical hobby. Which makes me wonder about my own fate if I go freelance again. At the moment I have a pretty physically demanding job, hefting equipment around most of the time and running about the building. What is going to happen to my perfect 83kilo score once I spend allday sitting about doing animation all day? Well,I've gotten in the habit of weighing myself again so perhaps I'll keep an eye on it and do something about it if it strays. Or take up badminton. Yikes, did I say that? What kind of a sick twisted world is it when a guy like me talks about getting regular exercise? Scary.

Apologies up front for not keeping up to date with the posts lately, but all I can say is it's been a few really mad weeks at the school and I've been up to my EYES in work.

Lots of coolstuff has been happening though. I'm prepping for my film shoot in the Summer which is proving exciting and depressing. I've got a really cool cast of actors in the film but they are all graduating this year, partly the reason why they are cool, but this causes a problem. They will all have AGENTS by the time I want them to be in the film, so I will have to negociate with the agents to give them an acceptable deal so they can be released to work on the film. Plus we haven't got any money so it's all going to be deferred payment. I've taken advice on this from people who know and they say just TALK to the actor's agents and maybe they will see the quality of what you are doing and let them work with you.

Apart from that I'm starting to think about freelance work for the Summer. I'm really getting back into photography. Those of you who know me will realise I'm a pretty decent photographer and it suddenly struck me, why am I not making money from this? I'm going to get some professional kit to get me back in the game, namely a Canon 350D digital SLR, 8 megapipxels for big piccies, with a 18-55mm lens, and this is part of a kit which also has a battery/grip and a 55-200mm lens for £699. Not at all bad considering what you're getting. Plus Jessops has a deal where you don't pay anything till this time next year.

Also I've revived my Lomo web site www.lomohomes.com/snouty. Those of you who don't know what Lomography is, it's a kind of cool, shoot from the hip, style of urban photography first popularised with the use of the Russian LOMO compact camera. I had a LOMO anyway as I was a huge fan of Russian optics when I was an impoverished teen, plus I also worked in a camera shop in the 1970s so had access to all that stuff, like Zenith SLRs and Holga 120 cameras... all very nostalgic for me. Anyway check out my LOMO site and look around at the other stuff. This is the Internet at its best.
